Faculty at the George Washington University who are also members of Phi Beta Kappa are considered Members in Residence at the George Washington University.  Members in Residence are entitled to participate in Alpha Chapter activities, including voting on by-laws, electing officers, serving on the selection committee, and participating in ceremonies.

Faculty members in residence should fill out this form to stay updated on important chapter information.


Membership in Phi Beta Kappa is by invitation only.


The Alpha Chapter of the George Washington University has inducted a new class of Phi Beta Kappa students every year since 1938.
